Hi, i am in the process of xfering my blog from .com to .org i did download the xml file but i have a question about the google links for the .com
Question, the google links for .com are http://xxx.wordpress.com after i close the .com down visitors will get a page not found, how do i prevent this?
Is there a way to forward each google link to the new .org version of the posting?
What can i do?

The only way to prevent all the root blog URLs form becoming “404’s” page not found is to purchase a site redirect. Are you leaving WordPress.com? Would you like to redirect yourblogname.wordpress.com (as well as all of your permalinks) to your new domain name? Have you recently changed your blog address and need to redirect traffic to the new name? That’s what the Site Redirect upgrade does > http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

Thanks for your reply, that is a nice option to have. The board is not that busy and not that many posts so i will have to think about it. What i am doing is i am combining two of my .com sites to one .org blog, The .com was great to have when i first started, dont know what i would have done without it, but now that i am proficient with .org having 3 other .orgs running i wanted to put the .com behind me and combine the two .com i have to one .org. Again thanks for the reply, you were a big help. Peace and happy blogging.
