Forwarding email

  My Gmail gives me the option to send emails through Gmail (easier to set up) or through my SMTP servers. When I choose the first option, it always shows (sent from the original Gmail account) on behalf of my blog’s email.

  When I choose the second option, it requires SMTP server (which is already filled: smtp.abdoroumani.com) and port (587 chosen) and then username and password. When I enter these, my blog’s email address as user name and my WordPress password, it refuses to connect to server.

  I don’t know how to handle plugins, how can I get the right data for Gmail?

  Howdy,

  With e-mail forwarding, the system only forwards e-mails sent to your address to the address that you provided. It doesn’t include outbound e-mail and so there isn’t an accessible SMTP server.

  In other words, the second option isn’t an option with e-mail forwarding.
