forwarding links from blog posts
-
Hi,
I am looking to change my current shop to Shopify but want to maintain a wordpress blog I have in progress. My old posts reference products on my current woocommerce store but I will need to update all those links to be the new sites urls. what is the best way to go about that?
Right now fastest seems to be redirects but those arent the best for SEO value, would it be worth updating the links manually in each post?(91 pages, 1 link a post) is there some other way that im missing that would be better in workload/seo value retention?
thanks,
NickI don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hey Nick, is the site hosted here with us? We could take a look but I don’t see any on this account.
If your blog posts help your SEO, you’d probably still want to redirect your product links anyway in case anyone has them deep-linked out on the web. But you may also want go through and correct the links in your best-ranked posts, too, and work through the others as you can.
Also, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs. sites using WordPress code with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link, and we can point you in the right direction.
If it is definitely hosted somewhere else, we’d recommend searching and posting in the forums for the free WordPress software if you need more help: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Cheers!
