Forwarding of a new domain
-
I purchased a domain from Google domains, I am unable to transfer the domain for 60 days because it is new. On Google’s admin console I am able to forward my domain to another URL. Is that something I can do with WordPress in order to get my blog up and going?

Hi there,
We don’t support domain forwarding like that, no.
Instead, to use that domain with a WordPress.com site, you can follow our domain mapping process, where you point the domain to us by changing the name servers on Google’s end:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
First, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ to create a site in this account.
On the domains step, select the option to use a domain you already own, and select domain mapping.
On the plans step, you will be required to upgrade to a paid plan, as that is a requirement for domain mapping.
