framing in slideshow mode

  When you have a slideshow, all the landscape photos are framed perfectly, but portrait photos have a lot of grey space to the sides. Is there a way for the slideshow to resize itself to accommodate the picture that it is showing at the time?

  The WP slideshow is designed to occupy the whole of the available column width, and there’s no way to change that.

  My workaround might be a solution if you set the colors to white (000) so that you don’t see the frame at all.

  Or you can use other slideshows instead of the WP one.

  @Panos: Clever idea to change the background to white, but don’t you mean #FFF then? :-)
