Fraud complaint from wordpress

word press charged my account without my authorisation. The name of wordpresses company that charged my account was not recognized. I would like to continue using my wordpress site although I must NOT be charged without my knowledge. I had to contact my bank a lodge a fraud complaint as I check every transaction with precision. I now have completely different details. You may contact me on [redacted] in Australia

word press charged my account without my authorisation.
I can see you issued a chargeback against us through PayPal for the domain made2motor.com — this purchase was set to auto renew and a notification of the renewal was sent to the email address on your account. If you didn’t receive it, it may have gone to your spam folder.
Chargebacks are a tool for fraud prevention and are not intended as a means of obtaining a refund or cancelling an upgrade. When a chargeback is issued, all upgrades on your account are removed and your site is locked until you pay a chargeback fee or cancel the chargeback.
If the dispute was made in error, please try to cancel it with PayPal. Until it is cancelled, there is nothing we can do from our side.

If I go down to my bank and tell them that it was a mistake on wordpress’s behalf for charging my account without my authorisation, can my account be then re-instated ? I need to make sure that I have NO automatic charges as I rarely use banks or cards at all because I dont trust them. Can you re assure me that there will be No auto charges sent to me especially from an un known biller ?

Yes you will need to try and cancel the dispute with your bank as it’s not something we can do your behalf. Once the dispute has been cancelled I can restore your upgrades — although please be aware that it can take a few days for your bank to do so.
I need to make sure that I have NO automatic charges as I rarely use banks or cards
I can disable auto renew which means you will need to manually renew each year. We will send an email to you let you know that your upgrades are due for renewal.
Let me know if you are able to cancel the dispute with your bank.

Hi , I have finally got a chance to go down to the bank and try to sort out this issue. They have told me that because I have already received a refund for the fraud case that I opened, that they can not reverse it. They have advised me to give you my new debit card details and go from there.

As the payment has already been reversed, you will need to pay the $20 chargeback fee:

The restrictions on your account will be lifted once the fee has been paid. Do you want to continue using the domain made2motor.com? I can restore the upgrades to your site but I’ll need to send a payment request for the reversed amount.

yes , I do wish to use it. I just need to be put onto non automatic payments. I will pay the $20 just to get it working again. The confusion started because it was not wordpress that took money from my account. It was just a bunch of letters and numbers that charged my account.. It looked very weird to me and the bank also.. I had no idea that it was wordpress billing me

I do wish to use it. I just need to be put onto non automatic payments.
That’s fine, I can disable auto renew once the upgrades have been added back to your account. If I do that, you will receive an email when renewal is due and you can renew manually from your account.
I will pay the $20 just to get it working again.
I’ll need to send a payment request for the domain costs, would you like me to add the chargeback fee to that aswell? It will save you making two separate payments. If you are happy for me to go ahead and do so, just reply to confirm.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your account — please let me know if you don’t receive it. Once that has been paid I can restore the domain back to your site and your account will be unlocked.

It looks like you’ve tried to pay but the payment hasn’t been successful. If you are having problems, please speak to your bank as it looks like they are blocking payments to WordPress.com. Once that has been paid I can restore your upgrades.

I have tried and tried to pay it and it keeps saying that there was a problem with my payment… Ive double and tripple checked all my details are correct and there is plenty of $$ in my account.. Not sure why it won’t accept payment.

Not sure why it won’t accept payment.
We aren’t refusing your payment, it’s being blocked by your bank. The reason for this is likely to be because the previous payment was disputed — doing so labelled it as a fraudulent transaction. I’d recommend speaking to your bank about whether WordPress.com has been blocked or blacklisted on your account.
