FRAUD – MONEY STOLEN FROM MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT BY WORDPRESS.COM
-
This morning out of the blue 2 x transaction for €18 each were taken from my PayPal account.
I gave no authorisation for this and WordPress.com have no email address or phone numbers to contact them on.
I intend to report this matter as a point of principal to the police in Ireland as FRAUD.
WORDPRESS.COM have stolen money from my account and I intend to let everyone know.

Jason

Hi Jason,
on WordPress.com, each yearly subscription will renew automatically unless you disable it from your dashboard.
From what I can see, you were charged for the renewal of the domain gamingpcsireland.com.
Since you mentioned two charges, the second one might be for another of your accounts. You can check it from https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.
You’ll be able to use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.Since you have already opened a dispute for gamingpcsireland.com, we’re not able to do anything until the dispute has been closed by PayPal. If you can cancel it and you do not wish to maintain that domain, we’d be able to cancel it for you and refund the $18.
Please bear in mind that canceled domains may take months to be available again and, once they do, someone else can register them.
Let us know how you’d like to proceed.

This service was cancelled years ago !
I am not falling for that and the matter has been reported to the police here in Ireland as FRAUD.
You have until the end of today to refund all charges to my PayPal account.
I have also reported you to PayPal Corporate Enforcement here in Ireland.
You need to escalate this to senior management because I intend to make an example of WordPress.com and I have also sent the details of this FRAUD to the Department of Trade and Enterprise here in Ireland along with details from other innocent victims of your payment fraud and I expect they will block the WORDPRESS.COM domain to stop you from stealing money from innocent parties in the Republic of Ireland.
I am the Managing Director of the largest eCommerce company in the Republic of Ireland so stop trying to play me for the fool.
The actions of WordPress.com will be notified to the trade press in Ireland and the United Kingdom tomorrow and I will then forward to online trade websites across the EU warning users of the FRAUD being commited by WORDPRESS.COM
I trust I am being very clear and now you need to escalte this to senior management.
Regards
Jason Elliott

Hi Jason,
I understand having a charge you weren’t expecting is frustrating, but by filing a dispute against us with your bank you have caused the payment to be frozen pending an investigation by PayPal, as required by law.
So we cannot refund you while that dispute it pending, no matter how much we want to. We refund all plan payments if requested within 30 days, and all domain payments if requested within 96 hours, but in this case our hands are tied.
If you withdraw the dispute we might be able to refund you immediately, but that will depend on how far along PayPal has already proceeded with the investigation on their end. You can see our full policy in this regard here:
If it’s no longer possible to withdraw the dispute, you’ll have to wait for PayPal to finish the investigation on their end, in which case they’ll refund you directly should they close the dispute in your favour.

As your WordPress.com account uses an email at your domain, I recommend you update that in your account settings as soon as possible so that you can still communicate with us if needed:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
As part of the dispute process the domain has been removed from your account, which means your email address will stop working as soon as the domain removal process is complete.
