Fraudulent Activity Surrounding My WordPress Account

An individual who is self-described as “Wow Gold” is commenting on my blog using a Google email address that does not belong to me, but contains the URL of my WordPress blog. The email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Click here to see a screen shot of one of their comments that was not spammed by Akismet. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6emvYiZbv5oZWJvV1BBcHZYZWM/view?usp=sharing … Please address this situation. I’m also reporting this to Google.

Hi Yolanda,
The email address is something users can enter manually. So, theoretically, they could enter any email address they want. This doesn’t mean that the individual has access to an email account with your domain. Additionally, the email address is not shown on your public-facing site so there isn’t much to worry about here. You can either delete the comment or mark it as spam. This shouldn’t create any larger issues though!

Thanks for your reply. I’m still following up with Google to be certain that it’s not a real email address, to ask that they delete it if it is, and to inform me if this individual is conducting business utilizing that email address. If they are, they’re going to be sued and prosecuted…
