Free 2 week trial-confused…

  Hi,
  I signed up this way and want to make sure that I can continue beyond the 2 weeks and not be charged…I haven’t even started to work on my pages yet.

  Also, if and when I upgrade, can I make it a website vs. a blog site? Maybe there really isn’t much of a difference but I did choose a theme that would adapt to a website. Maybe this is a silly question, but I want to be clear.

  A blog is a website, but you can configure your WP.com site however you want.

  The “free preview” applies only to upgrades like Custom Domain, Custom Design, etc. If you don’t pay for them, you won’t have them. I’m assuming you didn’t give WP your credit card details when you signed up, because why would you, for a free trial?

  If you don’t buy any upgrades, you can continue to blog at your blog for free as long as you want.

  The 14 day trial starts on the day you signed up for the trial, not the day you started to modify your site
