Hello I’ve just created my blog and need to verify my account to publish it- I want to see how it goes before I pay is there a way you can make the site ‘aticcersguidetolife@wordpress for a free domain?

Hi there!
You don’t need to upgrade your account before publishing the site.
Once you’ve verified your account, you’ll be able to launch the site using the free plan. Just click on the “Skip purchase” button when you’re prompted to choose a custom domain.

Hello, I am using WordPress.com as a free account, I have been on the support sites and tried to copy and work through my site and the tutorial, but it seems that things don’t match up from the tutorial or my dashboard. I am having a tough time trying to figure this out, I have tried themes, new pages, and even tried to delete with no results.
Is there anyplace out there where I can get step by step for absolute beginners, in English and in a way that this is comprehensible? I would like to learn this and then once proficient, upgrade to a paid account, but its pointless to pay for something you cannot even use!
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just checked my site and I must have succeeded in deleting the pages, because there is nothing there. I selected and activated a new theme, but not sure why it is not showing up under pages so I can edit it!

Please share a link to your site so that I can take a closer look. It’s also not necessary to delete anything on the front end to change themes. That will save you some work next time. Which theme are you trying to use?

The theme I am trying to use is Morden and the site I am trying to build is:

Thanks. The Morden theme is installed on that site. It needs set up and customized though. There’s not going to be much to look at until it’s been customized and there’s some content re added (pages, posts, etc…)

If the theme is set up, why does it not appear when I click on pages so I can begin customizing? or is it not supposed to? Do I need to customize first and then it will appear on the pages tab?

In the pages tab, you’ll only see the list of all your pages. When you open any page to edit it, you’ll be working on the content of the page and its layout.
The theme and how the site looks like in general, you’ll be able to see from My Site>Design>Customize. It’s also there where you’ll be able to set it all up. I hope that helps :)
