  hi it says its free for the first year but still charging me full price?

  A custom domain is included free for the first year when you upgrade to a paid plan. The domain is free….not the hosting of it.

  As noted by @themagicrobot, the domain is only free if you first purchase one of our annual plans. Domains are not provided free outside of your plan however.

  I can confirm that you have added the Business Plan to your cart, and that has brought the price of your domain to nil, as noted here: https://wordpress.com/checkout/thebetterlifedotorg.wordpress.com#step2

  For your patience I have also added a discount that you are also able to see at the cart link above. After you make your purchase, there is a delay of an hour or two while the domain is created, and then when it is ready it is automatically turned on to become the new address of your site.
