Free AA wordpress site hacked – cannot login, cannot recover password

I have been unable to login or get the password to work, and I don’t have authentication or other info – it was so long ago.
I think I’ve been hacked now. Now that i request a password reset, I get a reset for a slightly different username, not the original one.
I have no way of recovering the old password and no way of getting a new one. I have no idea what to do now to access it and fix this so I can make updates. I am not a developer, just a simple helper trying to keep our announcements updated.
Any and all help so appreciated. Feeling desperate!!

That could be your answer. You might need to be logged in with a different username than this one, possibly ojaialano?
Every WordPressdotcom account uses a single email address. Did you try using the one associated with that account on the password reset form?

I can see we’ve sent several password reset emails for the username, ojaialano, who owns that site, but the emails are bouncing with a message that the email no longer exists.
If you no longer have access to the email address you were using for that account, you’ll need to verify your ownership of the account via our account recovery process described here:
