  Why is a free account making making me choose a paid for domain name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  When I tried to publish a free site I was redirected to a web page that was trying to make me pay for a domain name. I’m simply trying to create a free wordpress site.

  You’ve already created the free site https://chuckklipowski.home.blog/ It just needs launching. Just make sure that after clicking the “Launch site” button that you leave blank the field at the top that says “Enter a name or keyword”. Instead just click on “skip purchase” at the bottom right next to your new free address.
