Free and Paid for Space Questions
-
My husband and I have a photo blog that we created and started about four days ago.
Yesterday (1-6-08), it showed that 4% of the free 50 Megabytes was used for space. Since we were going to upload videos and many photos with this blog, we purchased 5GB space upgrade. After the purchase, it showed 5 GB.
It is stated by WordPress that space added is cumulative. So, after purchasing 5 GB, it should have showed 5.0something… like 5.03 (the .03 left of what we have used of the free 50 Megabytes).
Since the purchase of 5 GB, we uploaded a few pictures and some videos. Now it is shows used 1% of 5GB
The photos we have uploaded so far add up to 3188 kB. The three videos through “W” I don’t know.
I know there are kilobyte, megabyte, and gigabyte (1000 units for each, I think) but I am not sure how they convert or as in space used at WordPress.
Basically, I am asking if the amount showed used (1% of 5GB) is correct because what was left of the 50 Megabytes didn’t appear to show cumulative with the purchase of 5GB.
I’m a newbie with all of this… so I ask questions.
Thank you for any help.

In total the system sees 47.08mb
There are 2 .avi files, 36mb / 7mb which were uploaded on the 7th.
The 1% looks correct given that the % will always be rounded. That help?
