  hi, i’m starting to sell some homecooking
  i want a small investment only for this first web.

  what do you recommend for a site that i could change the image freely and set some description and pricing?? thank you

  You may want to take a look at the new Simple Payments option in the Premium(less of an upfront investment) & Business Plans: https://en.support.wordpress.com/simple-payments/

  Also note that the WordPress.com Free and Personal plans allow for the use of the simple (no customizations) Buy Now or Donate button from PayPal.

  You can sell individual items on your site using your PayPal account and a button directing your readers to the PayPal payment screen.

  If you are interested in an integrated shopping cart on your site with additional payment options, you may always upgrade to the WordPress. com Business Plan which allows you to install Plugins like WooCommerce, and provides support to you via live chat (as available) and email.

  I am a non technical person, and juat used to backoffice of a website, not making it and this is my first time

  For first step
  I only want to customize the image or the theme from the free ones, so my customers could see them

  You may absolutely change the images in the given free themes. They act as placeholders.

  To change the theme, you may use any free theme on the free and personal plans.

  If you have a Premium or Business Plan you may choose from any Premium theme as well.

  Note: To upload a theme you purchased somewhere else you will need the Business Plan.

  To go back to your original question, with the images for shopping, the Premium Plan is going to be much easier to add a picture to an item to sell with the Simple Payments option. Your admittance to being a non-technical person, if the Premium plan is in your budget, it would be worth considering.

  That being said, you can definitely add a Buy Now Button via PayPal with the Free and Personal plan, it is just a more tedious process to set it up.

  The free plan is free, so you can try whatever you want and upgrade later, if you need to. :)
