Free blog?

I want to add another blog to my account but I am only getting options for ones that have fees. Are free blogs no longer an option with WordPress?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Salut!
Where are you going on your dashboard to add a new site? If you go to your “My sites” page from your login dashboard, then click “Switch Sites” in the upper left hand corner, it should show you what sites you have, and then also list “add new site”. From there, you should be able to make a new free blog.
As noted here, you can potentially have unlimited free blogs.

when following that path, and landing on a page with my sites the only thing listed is the one site I currently have. No option to add new.
However, I am finding an add new when I am on a screen that shows the dashboard for the one site i do have. On the left panel are options like:
-stats
-plan
-manage
-personalize
-configureAt the bottom of this left hand panel is “add new site”. When I start here it takes me to a page to name my site then it generates a list of options that are all included under “premium” – nothing is and option for free.

Hmm, in that case, I’m not really familiar with the issue. I’ll take a MODLOOK on here so that they might be able to talk you through it easier.

I do see that and that’s what I’m using. However, when I start the process to start a new blog and I enter a site name, it returns a list of site name options as “included in WordPress.com Premium”. I don’t see any other free options.
Also, completely unrelated, you and I have actually met before. I went to UT and my cousin auditioned for Ransom Notes. Small world.
Anyways, back to the issue at hand, if you can help me troubleshoot this that would be great.

I remember vividly a girl whose name starts with a C ( public forum =) )coming to audition for us twice and her cousin coming to support her. You both were also involved in Victory Campus Ministry and Morningstar Church (back before their respective name changes) if I remember correctly. Definitely remember both of you. Small world indeed. =)

good memory!
So I tried the link and no luck. So my next thought was to log out and try starting from scratch and through this I was able to generate a free site option (VICTORY!) but then the next screen asked for an email address and by using my primary address it says I’m already a member. So then I login using my creds and then it removes the free site option. (sigh.)
My next thought was to delete my existing blog – thinking that maybe I’m only allowed one free blog. Not something I wanted to do but this new one I am trying to start is more important to me. But still, even after deleting the only one I had I am still only being left with an option to buy a subscription.
I am boggled by why this is happening and feel like I am chasing my tail and losing faith.
