free blog

I went through the process of setting up what I thought was a free blog yesterday, but at the end a payment request came up (which I haven’t paid)? I can’t afford to pay for anything new at the moment, so what did I do wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi charmouth1sue,
As @yoga1103 and @justjennifer mentioned, susanrusselleu.wordpress.com is currently using the Free plan and upgrading is entirely optional.
It’s worth noting that certain features like custom domains are only available through paid plans. If you were trying to remove the .wordpress.com part of your free address or connect an existing domain to the site, you would have been prompted to upgrade.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for that, I must have slipped up slightly somewhere & I think I put in my own domain when prompted at some point, not realising what it entailed. So I can just get on and use the basic free site for now.
