  I clicked on the free blog and the next page said I’ll pay $18. Why is that? I clicked on pesolablog because it said that was available. It didn’t say I had to pay for it.

  It’s just an option. You’re not required to pay anything for the basics.

  If you want pesolablog.com for a blog name it will cost yu=ou $ 18.– / year – from forum feedback is sounds like WordPress.COM might be a bit aggressive in trying to sell you an upgrade – just don’t buy the custom domain name if you don’t want it
