  Can I create a free blog? When I click Manage Blogs the url just loads forever then times out.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  I’m having this same problem–I cannot create a free blog. When I click on that link or go to that page, a few phrases pop up like “making you cookies” but then it gets stuck on “planning the next chess move” and won’t continue past that. The only options I can ever get to are the paid site plans. Are paid plans all that’s available now? I just want to create a free, private blog–that’s it.
