free blog. How free?

    I’m looking to start 100% free a blog site.
    I entered my email, a password and a name with the intention of having name.wordpress.com . But it’s suggesting a one year free domain plus a range of plans, none of which is free. I’m thinking, just delete the beginnings of an account, but then I’m threatened with consequences of deleting. Wow! Wasn’t expecting a trap! I obviously don’t understand. Can someone please help me get my FREE website or blog here on WordPress? The free option, not $7 per month an more. Will appreciate. Jimmy

    It seems you got confused when it was asked to choose a package after selecting your domain. I can feel the situation, even I was on the same page during my first time (haha).
    However, no worries, instead of choosing the pricing included package, you can select the option called “Start with a free site.” to enjoy an absolutely free package of WordPress.com.

    If you are still struggling with the setup, you can walk through this article & the attached video. I believe this will help you to get started with the absolute free tier of WordPress.com.
