  is there a free demo version of wordpress with all features and can I install a theme without buying a premium account?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.com comes with three plans, one of those plans is free. Check here – https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  You can create an account for free and test or do your experiments on your free account.

  And to answer the second part of your question –
  Yes you can install “FREE” themes on your “FREE” WordPress site.

  You will only need to pay for “PREMIUM” themes.
