free domain

    I would like to upgrade to Business and I am scared about an aspect of this – the free domain.

    At the moment I have domains registered and with names.co.uk so I don’t need to register a domain name with WordPresss equally I would like one of the domains to become my URL i.e. to lose the wordpress.

    I am scared as to why I have to have the domain registered with wordpress to do that….

    I am worried I am somehow give that domain over to wordpress and I no longer own the domain (I believe others like Squares and Wix do this, they then OWN your domain and you can’t ever get it back) that I am ‘signing my life away’.

    I am very not technical so please me gentle! I would really rather be able to speak to a WordPress staffer on video link or the phone please but the chatbot says I only get to speak to a human if I have a paid plan and I won’t commit to a paid plan until I can speak to a human to alay this fear!
