Free Domain for the First Year?

    I’m slightly confused! I thought the domain was free for the first year like all the other sites advertise. If this is true, then why are you charging me the $19 now, along with my monthly $18 charge. The total came to $37. So, am I being charged for the first year? I need to know before going any further. I planned on getting a website that included a FREE DOMAIN THE FIRST YEAR. Please let me know what price I will be paying now.

    Hi there!

    A free domain for the first year is included with the annual billing. Since you chose the monthly billing, you are paying for one month only, so the plan is not eligible for a free domain for the first year.

    I see you added the WordPress.com Premium plan (monthly) to your cart. You can remove it from your cart and add the yearly plan using the link below.

    Once the Premium plan is in your cart, you will see the domain is included, and you won’t be charged the $19 registration fee for the first year.
