Free domain not mapping

  I upgraded my blog to a personal account only to cancel the upgrade. Since the cancellation, the blog is not redirecting to my free.wordpress.com account. How can I fix this? It’s been about 48 hours since the cancellation upgrade.

  Hi there,

  Since the domain has been canceled you can’t expect to redirect to your free address as you have no control over it. When the domain is canceled completely in approximately 5 days, it’ll stop displaying our error message and will display a generic “domain not found” type of error.

  The free domain was not cancelled though and when I go to my domains my freesite.wordpress.com is listed there as the primary domain yet isn’t found when I try to view it.

  Let’s back up to make sure we’re on the same page :)

  Your free WordPress.com site can be found at https://thrdculture.wordpress.com/ when I visit that site (even logged out of WordPress.com in a private browser) here’s what I see:
  

  If you visit the domain, thrdculture.com you will indeed see a mapping message. This is due to the domain being canceled on our end and no longer pointing to your free URL.

  If you visit the .wordpress.com URL and are seeing something different let us know what you’re seeing and if possible provide a screenshot. You may also need to clear your browser’s DNS cache if you’re using Chrome here’s how:
