Free email?

  Hey there,
  Don’t you think it would be a good idea if WordPress started offering free email to their users? Like (email visible only to moderators and staff)? Also, if there are any wordpress admins reading this, you should allow people to add people to their email. EXAMPLE: Ann owns a blog: ann.wordpress.com. Ann’s friend Rob is a member of the blog, though not an admin. Ann should be allowed to make an email for herself ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), and rob ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). Get my drift?

  Email is really complicated.
  It really is not as simple as you think.

  If you have a domain name upgrade for your blog here it looks like it’s possible from this FAQ, although I have never tried it:

  Email and a blog on the same domain

  With the domain mapping that raincoaster mentioned it’s very simple. It’s just a matter of activating the email in the dashboard.

  well, yeah…but I don’t really want to spend money just to own a site address. WP administrators!!! Please do this!!! It would be sooooo cool! :)

  It’s unlikely we’d consider doing this for free blogs. We’re attractive enough to spammers already.
