Free for now – Premium in future?

  I am new to WordPress and feel confused. I’d ideally like to experiment on a test run using the platform on a free basis. Would this be viable? Or must I select one of the paid subscription options at the start? I aim to take the Premium within a few months’ time. By then the community project I’m now developing will require the additional features which Premium provides. Thank you in advance for the kind assistance. Ismail Ali

  Hi there,

  You can definitely start with free, and only upgrade later once you’re sure we meet your needs. Upgrading a site just activates the extra features of the plan you choose, so it won’t have any effect on content you’ve already published on the site at that point. Likewise cancelling a plan just disables those features again, without any content on your site being lost.

  Also note that we offer a full refund for 30 days after an upgrade, so if you buy premium and only then decide it’s not for you, you can still get out again :)
