  Hi there- I am a student creating a WordPress blog for one of my courses. Everything I’ve read/watched online has lead me to believe that I can create a free blog, but when I go to launch my site, I only see paid options. Is there still a free account I can access? I don’t want to pay for a site just for one course, but if I have to I guess I will.

  It should only take a few more clicks if you have already created a free site with a subdomain ending in .blog or wordpress.com. Make sure that after clicking the “Launch site” button that you leave blank the field at the top that says “Enter a name or keyword”. Instead just click on “skip purchase” at the bottom right next to your new free address and then click on continue with free at the top on the next page.
