free plan description not specific enough – please help?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi. I didn’t create nc-election.com, but I was given admin access to it by the owner, just two days before he became unavailable to reach for four days. (He left today.) I am supposed to send a newsletter, which is all ready to go. I’ve created my To: list, and it’s 1078 addresses. Am I about to trip some sort of free-plan limit? Are they going to charge him when I hit Send?

This site is not in WP.com

Now I’m confused. He had to set me up with a WP account in order to have admin access. Thanks though.

I still need an answer though; does anyone else have any input?

  • Hello there,

There are two types of WordPress. WordPress.com and WordPress.org (also known as self-hosted WordPress).

Self-hosted WordPress is where the software is downloaded from WordPress.org and installed on a hosting provider. It’s considered completely separate to WordPress.com

nc-election.com uses self-hosted WordPress, meaning we wouldn’t be able to help with this site here.

Going forward, you should make sure you keep a record of all access routes to the site, including hosting details, admin details and domain registry details.

    I hope this helps.
