Hi @chenjuex, if you’d like your custom domain to show instead of the free subdomain, you’ll want a paid hosted plan.
Paid plans help cover our costs. They remove ads, allow you to use a custom domain, and provide access to direct support. Plus they have several other handy features, depending on the plan you choose. You can compare all plans here, but in your case Personal should be just fine:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/If you get a paid plan, you will be asked about mapping or transferring the domain. Mapping is free (you just continue paying for the domain through your current provider) or transferring adds one free year to your domain:
https://wordpress.com/support/domain-mapping-vs-domain-transfer/Or, you’d be welcome to set up your domain so it redirects to your free address. Mapping it here will do that for you automatically, or you can just use a redirect through your domain provider. I’d recommend a regular redirect rather than a stealth/framed redirect if SEO and linking matters to you.
