free shipping not working
-
I have set up shipping zone to offer free shipping within certain postcodes. I have tried to do a dry run but it is reverting to our flat shipping rate instead of a free shipping rate when putting in the address (which is within the free shipping postcode area)

Hey there –
Thanks for getting in touch.
I can see that you have some plugins including Elementor in use on this project. Here’s my suggestions whenever something isn’t working as you expect:
– double check the documentation and settings/configuration
– test in a different browser where you aren’t logged in at
– run a health check to look for conflictsLet us know which extension you’re using to handle the shipping and we can try to take a closer look at things if it is one that our team builds and manages.

Hi @bridscross, occasionally, we’ll see the free shipping option in WooCommerce conflict with some other plugin.
Would you be willing to do a test? The Health Check plugin is super handy for troubleshooting:
Health Check & Troubleshooting
Basically you’d install and activate that, then tap Troubleshoot by WooCommerce. Then visit your site. You’ll see the absolute simplest format possible – even a different theme, but don’t worry. Your users aren’t seeing that, only you’re seeing it because you’re troubleshooting. Test the cart and see if the free shipping option shows up when you use a postal code in the right zone.
If it does, you’ve likely got a plugin conflict. I’m guessing since your Catalogue plugin has its own cart / checkout pages, it may be the culprit, so you could go to the plugins page and activate that one (for troubleshooting) next, and test again.
Also: even if an order does qualify for free shipping, the user will still see shipping rates unless you deliberately hide them. There’s a snippet for hiding all but free shipping in the WooCommerce setup document here.

I’ve ran troubleshooting mode and the shipping zone is still not reverting to free shipping within the zone I’ve identified.

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out!
It looks like there’s a flat rate attached to United Kingdom zone, which would overwrite the United Kingdom selection set in the free shipping zone -https://bridscross.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=shipping&zone_id=1
I would recommend disabling the flat rate shipping zone to avoid that overlap, (or remove United Kingdom from the free shipping zone here – https://bridscross.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=shipping&zone_id=2 )
I hope this helps so far!
