  Hi – I did the initial steps to create a free site. When I try to activate it, it only has PAY options. I have create free sites in the past and don’t recall it being so difficult. Can you direct me to the proper steps? My domain is unique and I want to have the wordpress.com URL ending. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  I can see three free sites in your account. Are you saying you’re trying to add a fourth?

  On the domains step, just select the free example.wordpress.com one from the list, and you’ll be able to create the site on the free plan.

  If you mean you’re trying to launch a private site to make it public, click the Skip Purchase option on the domains page, and you’ll be able to continue launching the site on the free plan.

  I trying to launch a site and make it public. On the LAUNCH page there is no option to Skip Purchase.

  Where can I find the SKIP PURCHASE option to launch the site?
