I am trying to customize the site, but it kkeeps reverting to a theme logo and colors, etc. How do I keep the customization features that I add?

    Hi there,

I am trying to customize the site, but it kkeeps reverting to a theme logo and colors, etc.

Are you changing colours, logo and it didn’t update and keeps as per original theme styles?

Here what customization features are not taking place. Could you please give more details?

    Thanks.

Yes – I have changed the logo, deleted title and tag boxes, and imported my logo. I save the draft and can continue working from it, but whenever I hit view site, it goes back to the original generic logo graphic with just my site name typed under it. I’m also having trouble changing the menu bar color (can’t find where to do this).

If you’ve only saved your changes in the theme customizer as a draft, you’re not going to see them on the live site, the same way you won’t see a draft post or page on the live site. You have to publish the changes if you want to see them reflected on the live site. Just click the little settings icon next to the Save Draft button at the top of the theme customizer, select Publish, and then click the Publish button. Then you should see the changes on the live site.

Regarding the menu bar color, the theme you’re using has a couple of palettes available that you can use in the Colors & Backgrounds section of the customizer that you can use to change the color scheme of the site, including the menu bar. You’d have to upgrade to a premium account to get more customization ability within themes.
