  Yes, you can use the free plan for as long as you like. You’ve already created your site ( https://danackmanlaw.wordpress.com/ ), it seems to be on a free plan unless you purchased an upgrade while setting up the site? You can check your current plan if you go to MySites -> Plan to make sure.
