  Hi,

  I want to try out WordPress to build an anonymous online forum. I want to try it out first, before I pay 100 dollars for a full year. Is there no way to try the features out for free for like a week or so? And also, if I choose to pay, is there a feature for making a forum account anonymous? (anonymous registration by only alias and password – no first or last name).

  Hi,

  Can you talk a little more about what you mean when you say “forum”? Are you thinking of actual forum software like bbpress/xenforo/etc? Or are you thinking that the comments section of a WordPress post will function as a discussion forum?

  Is there no way to try the features out for free for like a week or so?

  WordPress.com does have a free plan that offers many of the features of the Premium plan as far as functionality. The Premium plan just adds a lot of storage, customization, and professional presentation upgrade options.
