  Hi, when I signed up, it showed I could do a free trial, but after signing up, it does not give me the option for trial, rather it’s pushing me to subscribe. I want to play around with this system before I commit as I already have a website and commerce site, so I am just looking to see other options.

  We don’t have any free trial on WordPress.com, though we have a free plan that lets you use the site editor, publish posts, and customize your site with the free themes. Perhaps you were thinking of the free plan?

  If you’d like to try one of our paid plans, we have a 14-day refund period for the yearly plans. Yearly WordPress.com plans include domain registration for the first year. The refund period for the price of the domain is 96 hours. If you’re still evaluating the plan, we recommend not registering a domain so that you have the full 14 days for the refund.
