Are you logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the 14 day trial upgrade? That’s required to disable auto-renew and get a refund.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that registered the blog and purchased the trial upgrade, you ought to be able to request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
To disable autorenew go to > Store > My Upgrades and click the “disable auto-renew” link.WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Yes, I cancelled it twice because the first one didn’t register by the next day. I would like to know now how to get out of the $18 charge for the name.
-
Sure thing. If you don’t want to keep the domain michaelevenson.com, I can cancel that for you and you won’t be charged for it.
Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future, so only do this if you’re sure you don’t want to use that domain name here or elsewhere.
Can you please confirm you’d like to cancel that domain name? I’ll take care of that for you and ensure you aren’t charged for it. If you decide you’d like to keep it, just let me know and I can help you with that process, instead.

Yes it’s redundant sounding and not the name I wanted. It’s: michaelevensondotcom.com, I don’t want that on my card lol. Thank you for your quick response!
-
The custom domain name you registered is actually michaelevenson.com (not michaelevensondotcom.com). Do you still want to cancel it or is that the one you want?

When you’re in the site’s dashboard, you’ll see the free WordPress.com address for your site. That’s used behind the scenes to make sure nothing ever happens to your content even if you stop using the custom domain name.
But your custom domain name is what’s used when you visit the site itself, and it’s all that visitors to your site see: http://michaelevenson.com/

I’m not sure I understand your question. You’re the owner of the site itself and the custom domain, so you own and control the content there. The behind-the-scenes address is just the address that you’ll see in the dashboard, which is there so you never lose that content (for example, so you can still access your site and its content if the domain expires).

Sure thing. I’ve cancelled and removed the custom domain so you can continue using the free WordPress.com address. Just let me know if I can do anything more to help!
