  do you offer a free trial period to allow the web designer to try out the product. Can this be done before deciding whether or not to transfer the domain?

  You can create a site on WordPress.com completely for free using our free plan. This is not a trail, as the free plan never expires and you can use it for as long as you want.

  We don’t offer trials of our paid plans, but all our plans come with a 30-day refund period, should the plan you buy not meet your needs.
