  i just registered my account and i am on the 1 year free plan. but i still have to fill in the necessary details like my card information. i’ve done that but it still declined my card. why pls?

  Haven’t you already created the free site https://the365podcast.wordpress.com/
  You only add card details if you wish to upgrade the free site to a paid plan with additional features.

  As @themagicrobot mentioned, you do not need to add your card details if you want to keep your site o the free plan.

  If you’re looking to upgrade, you may need to reach out to your card issuer.
  Sometimes your bank may block the transaction, even if your card works for other purchases. Please contact your bank to confirm that they are not blocking transactions from WordPress.com and make sure that your card is valid for online and international transactions.
