free version update?

Do I need to update the free version as well? Sorry for the dumb question total newbie here :)

Nope, you can’t update wordpress.COM that will be done by Staff and done so without you needing to do anything (like for example the whole dashboard was redesigned only last week). Things will upgrade as Staff implement them.
