Free vs paid
-
I am thinking that word press is the correct direction for our online magazine but I need to prove it first. The plan is to build the site on word press with the free plan and if we like the way that it looks, immediately upgrade.
The question is, will we have any issues once we upgrade with moving the page domain from the free word press to the custom URL?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgradingWhat domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL to the original content. It can take up to 72 hours for domain propagation to take place throughout the internet but it doesn’t usually take that long.
All fees are clearly stated on the plans and pricing pages. There are no monthly payment plans. We are billed annually and pay in full for every upgrade at the time of purchase for a one year subscription.
Note that each upgrade bundle applies to a single blog only and is for a single year only when it is due to be renewed. We have an auto renew feature. Read about it here https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
