  Good afternoon, I was hoping to try out word press on a free basis for a little while before purchasing one of the plans. I saw that that was an option on your homepage but now when I’m trying to set up my website that option isn’t available? Could you please let me know if I can proceed with a free site until I decide to go ahead and purchase one of the plans?

  I read your intro info and it did not say that I can’t have free hosting if I own my own domain.

  A paid plan is required with a custom domain. Free plans are available with ,blog or .wordpress.com subdomains only.
