  Yes WordPress.com has free plan as well. Many features are not available with free plan. If you try to activate/implement those features it will suggest you to upgrade your plan and pay.

  You can always ignore it if you want to continue with free plan.

  Hi seberpolitics,

  We offer the option to create a free blog but certain features like custom domains (without “.wordpress.com”) are only available through paid plans. What change are you trying to make when being asked to pay?
