  Have the free WordPress plans gone away? I’m getting a message that ‘Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.’
  I opened a Domains page here and it offered me three paid plans.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there, the site that listed on your question can be accessed without the error message showing. Could you share the site address that you’re having the problem with?

  I came here based on your reply to the publicize announcement which I split off and closed. That post can be found here:

  I wanted to mention the message you are seeing is what happens when a domain name is pointing to the WordPress.com name servers without the mapping upgrade being purchased for a plan.

  If you’re able to provide us with the domain we can take a look if a WordPress.com plan is active for the site and let you know if the mapping upgrade is present.

  As for the site linked to this account, https://donnamcmillen300.wordpress.com/ is it a free site with no mapping upgrade. It will remain free for life :)

  The free site I was having trouble with is https://donnamcmillen300.wordpress.com.

  I was able to pull up the site this evening at that address, so it looks like I added an extra period and got the domain message.

  From what bdukes was saying in her message, it sounds like the free site doesn’t have a mapping upgrade and will remain free for life.

  Thank you! I appreciate all the time and effort that went into answering my question. I’ll get back to blogging now. : )
