Free wordpress site verificatin in search console

  As per your instructions, a free site can be added in search console by adding the tag via dashboard – tools – marketing – traffic tool.
  But I can’t find the traffic option inside the marketing setting. Has the feature been removed for the free plans?

  Hi,

  Yes, I believe the location of the tools might have been recently changed. Please follow the instructions in the Site verification services section of the Verify your site with Google Search Console support page.

  I forgot to mention that under the Site verification services section in that support page you’ll find the Connect to Google Search Console section, which includes two methods of verifying a site with Google, via Google Search Console.
