  Every blurb says WordPress is free to set up a website until I logged on and created an account.. Now the only way to get a domain name and start the set up comes at a minimum cost of 3 pounds a month ? Why… How do I choose this free option?

  You get the free option by choosing a subdomain address that ends in .wordpress.com. Any other custom domain address requires a paid plan.
