Free WP Plan | Cannot update A record/DNS?

  I have set up a WP account and have purchased hosting/domain through godaddy.
  Godaddy is telling me to update my dns/a-record. When i go to WP>Domains, there doesnt seem to be an ‘edit’ or ‘DNS’ option.

  Is this because I am on a free plan?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  WordPress.com websites are fully hosted by WordPress.com only. If you want to use GoDaddy, then you will need to use the self-hosted version of WordPress.

  Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/ or alternatively contact your hosting provider.

  Hi @abella8, were you trying to point a domain bought here to GoDaddy?

  It looks like you had one then cancelled it right away. So it would be released in a few days (after a grace period.) But until then, as you were refunded already and the domain was cancelled, you wouldn’t have the ability to control its settings.
