Hello all. Is there a way to point to wordpress.com site from a ddns service (freedns.afraid.org)?

I use freedns.afraid.org so that some subdomains point to a home server and I want the primary domain to point to a wordpress.com site…

    Thanks for your time.

  • Hello there, if you have a domain registered somewhere and wish to map it to WordPress.com blog you can do so with a paid plan.

To see the differences among the plans:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

To know the available pricing options:

    Hope this helps.

This is not what I asked. I asked how to connect my ddns service to wordpress.com site. Not to let wordpress manage my domain completely.

Anyway I found a way to do this. To anyone interested follow the next steps.

Create a “Web Forward” from your domain name to point to the subdomain the wordpress gives for your site. My example subdomain is panteleimonme.wordpress.com.

As it turned out it was ultra simple and it seems I didn’t need a paid plan to do this. And sadly I paid for one.

  • Sorry for that I misunderstood your question and thanks for sharing the information. :)
