Freeing up old blog titles

  I experimented with blog titles some time ago, and the only way I could see if the title had been used was to create the blog. Consequently, I set up several blog sites that I don’t use. I really want to free up these titles and one person commented – rather testily – that they were frustrated the title had been used and yet there were no posts. So how can I delete/cancel those unused sites and thus free up the titles for someone else’s use?
