  Can I free up space by deleting previous posts?

  Are you already reaching the 3GB limit for media on your free site? If so perhaps you should be optimizing your images before uploading them to your site (or you could upgrade to a Personal plan to double your storage space). Deleting posts won’t free up space. Deleting images in your Media Library will (but will also remove the images from whichever posts they are attached to).
