Freezing

  My Reader has started to freeze up, even when I use a different machine to the one I have at home. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  Hi frankprem,

  I’ve also noticed some freezing in my Reader when using the WordPress.com app. Updating to the latest version fixed that on my Mac.

  If you are using a web browser, I would suggest clearing your browser cache by following these steps:

  Hi Cobalt.

  Thanks for this advice. My reader is now unstuck, but I’m just a little unsure whether this was the fix, or another thing I did. I’ll tell:

  I used the link above. Maybe it did the trick.

  A second thing though. I recalled that I had attempted t use MS Word to upload a post, and I suspect that the freze was coincidental in timing. I went in and removed the post, and rebooted.

  One way or another, it is working again.

  Because the laptop is reasonably new, I think there is a chance that I may have allowed Windows 10 to have it’s wicked way in ravishing the poor thing, so I’ve asked a local PC tech to jump in and de-clug the machine, and maybe kill off adverts and random updates, and perhaps a new default browser.
